Utah's Big 5 Parks

Canyonlands

First-day late afternoon arrival at Canyonlands. Two viewpoints here: Dead Horse Point State Park and
the Island In The Sky section of Canyonlands National Park. Spectacular, immense views from both
places.

Arches National Park
Next morning tour of Arches National Park, with hikes to Landscape Arch, longest in the park, and Delicate Arch perched on the edge of a steep dropoff.

Zion park
Afternoon drives to a town near Zion Park and spent all the following day in the park. Easy hikes for those not as fit, harder hike to Angel's Landing just before the chain section. Later all hiked along the river to
the entrance to the Narrows. We've done this wonderful hike in water into a deep slot canyon, but not this year. The next day hiked the Canyon Overlook Trail with great views into Zion Canyon.

Bryce Canyon National Park
From there a fairly short ride to Bryce Canyon National Park where most did a 3-mile hike down into the canyon among all the amazing and unusual rock formations.

The view from the top is great, too, so not
necessary to hike down to appreciate this park. From there drove up to Utah's most scenic highway, Highway 12, stopping for more photos several times.

Capitol Reef National Park.
We will stay the night in Torrey, UT, and the next morning we will drive deep into Capitol Reef National Park.
This is an underappreciated park and there were many demands for photo stops along the way.
