Tour to the west of Denver for 5-7 hours

Denver is located just at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. If you go to the west from Denver, you can see footprints of dinosaurs embedded in the rocks and our famous Red Rocks Amphitheater. Many famous people have performed there. Among them are the Beatles, Jethro Tull, the Grateful Dead, Daft Punk, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Radiohead, Blues Traveler, Mary Garden, John Denver, etc. Not far from Red Rocks is Lookout Mountain which has a spectacular view of the city of Golden. There is a small museum dedicated to Buffalo Bill, and his grave and tombstone are nearby. He allegedly killed more than 600 buffalo and that's how he got his name. He was very famous during his lifetime and had a world-wide traveling wild west show featuring live performances with Indians, shooting demonstrations, skilled horse riding, etc. Europeans loved his performances and tried to imagine life in the wild west based on these performances.   Nearby is Boettcher Mansion, located on the same mountain. Mr. Boettcher was a very successful businessman who came from Germany. He used to work at the original mining hardware store, but later opened many businesses in Colorado, and people were employed in his factories even during the depression. Our present concert hall was built with money from the Boettcher Foundation. A little farther away is the Mother Cabrini Shrine which has a church and a large sculptural monument to Jesus Christ. Mother Cabrini was the first American saint. Getting off Lookout Mountain we'll come onto I-70, a highway which leads west to Utah and east to Kansas. We'll try to see the buffalo herd that is often right next to the highway. On the way back to Denver, we'll stop at Golden where the well-known School of Mines is located. If it is still not very late, we can make a stop at the Coors brewery to try three kinds of beer.
